School Supply List for 2009-10 at Dr. Elliott School

Following are the supply lists for the appropriate grades. Please put your child’s name on all the supplies and sharpen all pencils and pencil crayons.  Extra supplies can be kept at school.

Grade 1 – 2 metal sharpeners, 5-300ml bottles white glue, 10-40gm glue sticks, 8 white erasers, 1 pair of all metal scissors (pointed), 60 HB  yellow pencils (no names on these), pencil case & 1 container to fit into desk, wax crayons, pencil crayons, flexible plastic cm ruler, scrapbook with metal coils (35.6 x 27.9cm) 2 boxes of Kleenex (150), paint shirt, indoor and outdoor shoes (running shoes are required in the gym so runners are suggested for indoor shoes), book bag, 2 duo tangs, 1 notebook, 1- 1” binder.  Felts are allowed after Christmas.  All supplies are stored at school.  Please put extra supplies in a zip-lock bag and they will be stored away.

Grade 2/3– 40 pencils - sharpened (if cheaper ones are purchased, double the number are needed, as they sharpen down very quickly), pencil crayons - sharpened, 1 ball point pen for marking (red, black or blue), 5 white erasers, wax crayons, metal scissors (sharp), 10 regular lined notebooks (50 pages or more each), 2 interlined notebooks for handwriting (Gr. 2 white space on top half, Gr. 3 no white space for drawing at the top), 1 small binder (1” or less), 1 pkg of looseleaf dividers, 6 duo tang folders, flexible cm. ruler, 4 or more glue sticks & 1 small bottle of white glue, pencil case or box (not too large and one only), outside shoes, inside shoes,  1 scrapbook (coil is best), 1 pkg of 8 large felt markers, metal pencil sharpener, 2 large boxes of kleenex.  Please put extra materials into a zip lock bag.

Grade 4 – 36 pencils (USA or Canadian made), pencil crayons, metal scissors, 3 white erasers, 1 metal sharpener, 1 pkg. felt markers, 2 ball point marking pens (red, black or blue), 1 highlighter pen, DRY white-out (optional), 1 scrapbook (35.6 x 27.9) ,4 – 40gm glue sticks and 1 - 30ml bottle of white glue, pencil box or case, 2 large zip-lock baggies with name on them, 1 divider package, 2 regular lined notebooks (50 pages or more each), l package lined loose leaf paper (200), 10 duo tang folders, 1 flexible metric ruler, 2 - 1” binders (plain no zipper) 1 large  box of  kleenex, calculator, inside running shoes, outside shoes, gym strip

Grade 5 – 3–1” binders, 1 - 1 1/2” binder, 1 divider package, lined loose leaf paper, 2-coil regular lined scribblers, 2 -  40gm glue stick, 1 blue or black pen (NO GEL PENS, PLEASE), 1 red pen, 12 - HB pencils, pencil crayons, felt markers, 2 erasers, metal scissors, ruler, protractor, calculator, highlighter, large box of Kleenex, indoor and outdoor shoes, gym strip, pencil case or box, please, DRY white out. 2 large zip-lock bags (with name).

Grade 6 – 3 -1 1/2” binders, divider package, 3 pks lined loose leaf paper (200 sheets)    3 - coiled scribblers, 3 – coil regular lined notebooks, 15 duo tangs, 2- 40gm glue stick, red and blue pens, 12 pencils, pencil crayons, felts, 5 erasers, 3 – highlighter pens, 1 – 300ml white glue, scissors, ruler, pencil case, 1 – large zip-lock (with name) calculator, protractor, 2 large boxes of kleenex, gym strip, indoor and outdoor shoes.

Grade 7-9 – 1 Geometry set, 1 scientific calculator, 12 pens, 24 pencils, 1 ruler, 3 duotangs/folders, 1 pair of scissors, 3 glue sticks, 2 erasers, 2 zip binders, 1 - 3” binder with dividers, 400 sheets of loose leaf, 1 pkg scribblers, 1 pkg pencil crayons, 1 pkg felts, gym strip and gym shoes.
